On display - the block work which forms part of the foundation of this high performance home at the back of Cust. An extensive network of insulation will also feature in this foundation design to ensure an effective thermal envelope and mitigate thermal bridging.

📣 Air Tightness Test Result 📣 The Pre-Line Blower Door test at our Diamond Harbour High Performance build was undertaken yesterday ahead of next weeks mid build. It came back at 0.30 air changes/hour. This should reduce further when the build is complete. Compare this to a home built to standard construction where air tightness would generally be between 5-8 ach.
Come and check out the difference of these energy efficient healthy homes at our upcoming mid build on Wednesday 26th June.

Flashings have been made to measure and installed for the windows that have been recessed into the insulation layer of the walls. This reduces thermal bridging.
Now the bricks are being laid, you can see how the cladding sits in relation to the recessed windows. Picture: WC window.
